We’re hiring a Chef / Kitchen Manager for a new small restaurant + bar opening in March, located about 20 minutes outside of Springfield.
Our concept has a modern German influence with a beerhouse feel — elevated comfort food, great execution, and a German beer program.
This is a great opportunity for the right person to help build the kitchen from the ground up, with long-term growth potential and a possible ownership/partnership path. Ownership has other successful restaurants.
Pay
$46,000–$52,000 per year (based on experience)

Responsibilities
Lead kitchen operations and daily service
Help develop and execute menu items
Manage ordering, prep, inventory, and food cost
Train and supervise kitchen staff
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
Build kitchen systems and procedures for opening and beyond
Qualifications
Prior chef, sous chef, or kitchen management experience preferred
Strong line skills and ability to lead a team
Organized, dependable, and able to work under pressure
Interest in modern German / beerhouse-style food is a plus
Must be ready to support opening prep and launch
Schedule
Nights and weekends required, possible lunch service
Additional hours expected during opening period
