Very rare Calbest matching tube amp and tuner. Both made in January 1959. Yes, the knobs are made of real wood! The tube amp was recently extensively restored. Matching tuner is working beautifully but has not been restored. In my opinion this matching set is one of the best looking tube amps and tuners I have ever laid eyes on. I had matching cabinets made of walnut wood. I leave the amp out of the cabinet however because I enjoy watching the tubes glow.

Specs:

Calbest 8211 60 watt twin mono stereo EL84 12AX7 tube amplifier. This is a very hard to find 1959 Calbest twin 30 watt mono tube amplifier is two separate mono amplifiers that share the power transformer. This setup delivers 60 watts total. This was the top of the line amplifier from Calbest. This unit is really designed to work with turntables as it has many turntable functions Such as AES (Audio Engineering Society) LP, RIAA normal LP switch. Then it has roll off controls of FFRR (78) , AES, RIAA LP and flat. 60 Watts peak 30 Watts Program 117V 140 Watts Power consumption 13 1/2 d x 5 7/8 h x 11.5 w 24 lbs INPUT: Has two as this is a twin mono unit. Aux Phono: Magnetic & Crystal Tape Tuner OUTPUT : Tape out. CONTROLS & SWITCHES : Has two as this is a twin mono unit.
